Bi-Fold Extension St Albans
A three-panel bi-fold door installation opening a St Albans living extension to the garden — slim sightlines, flush threshold, and garden views year-round.
Our clients in St Albans wanted their new living extension to feel connected to the garden — not separated by a conventional patio door. The brief called for maximum opening width, minimal frame sightlines, and a threshold detail that worked for everyday family use.
We specified a three-panel bi-fold system with anthracite-grey powder-coated frames to complement the extension's render and oak lintel. The doors stack neatly to one side, leaving a generous opening for summer entertaining and easy access for children.
A flush threshold track with integrated drainage keeps the transition from kitchen to patio level and weatherproof. Internal cill detailing and careful silicone finishing complete an installation that performs as well as it looks.
