A bespoke architectural glazing package for a Berkhamsted rear extension — corner glazing, roof lantern, and frameless glass balustrade as one coordinated scheme.
Our clients in Berkhamsted were building a bold contemporary rear extension and wanted every glazing element to work as a single coordinated scheme — not a collection of separate products.
We designed a corner glazing arrangement with structurally glazed fixed panels and a single opening bi-fold for ventilation. Above, a rectangular roof lantern brings daylight into the centre of the open-plan space. A frameless glass balustrade protects the lowered section of floor that steps down to the garden.
All elements share a consistent anthracite frame finish and solar-control glass specification. Coordinating manufacture and installation as one package ensured tolerances aligned and the finished result feels intentionally designed.
