A structural glass link connecting a Bishop's Stortford period home to a new side extension — flooding the circulation space with daylight.
Our clients in Bishop's Stortford were extending to the side of their Victorian home and needed a connection that felt light and contemporary — not a dark corridor squeezed between old and new.
We designed a glass link with frameless side panels and a walk-on structural glass roof. The link follows the natural circulation route between the original hallway and the new kitchen, turning a transitional space into a feature.
Careful coordination with the builder ensured the steel structure was set to our tolerances before glazing installation. The finished link floods both the old and new parts of the house with daylight.
